Motlatso Maloka, Acting Valuer-General, was one of the speakers at the Public Sector Asset & Land Management Conference on October 7th. The theme of the conference was Emerging Trends in Public Sector Asset and Land Management.
The purpose of the conference was to debate the idea that unresolved land tenure, mismanaged public sector assets, and ineffective land administration can all contribute significantly to the economic meltdown. Successful land management, on the other hand, can have a systemic impact on economic growth and poverty alleviation.
During her presentation, Ms. Maloka discussed the role of the Office of the Valuer-General.
